The Expert Steps Class Parent Documentation Meeting is a special opportunity that allows you to observe your child’s in-class developmental journey in a comprehensive way. In this meeting, you will have the chance to explore how our children conduct their daily learning experiences, how they investigate topics they are curious about, how they interact with their peers, and how their play-based learning processes evolve throughout the day.

The Expert Steps period is a developmental stage where children research more consciously, strengthen their problem-solving skills, participate more actively in group work, and begin to clarify their individual areas of interest. During this process, children’s learning journeys will be shared with you through photographs, observation notes, activity products, project outputs, and daily learning records. Each documented moment makes your child’s thinking processes, approaches to situations, problem-solving strategies, and social-emotional development visible.

In this meeting, we will evaluate the following topics together:

• Your child’s daily classroom routine and the activities they participate in

• Workshop activities, project processes, and inquiry-based explorations

• How their interests and strengths are forming

• Peer relationships, group roles, and the development of social skills

• Teacher–child and child–child communication dynamics

• Development in motor, language, cognitive, and self-care skills

• How the learning process is made visible through documentation

Additionally, the teacher will share your child’s individual development map, including strengths, areas needing support, classroom preferences, and learning styles.

The Parent Documentation Meeting is not simply a presentation of what children do; it is a process that strengthens home–school collaboration and allows us to evaluate your child’s development through a shared perspective. Your participation helps your child feel valued, adds meaning to their work, and supports them in continuing their learning journey with confidence.
