Associate Steps Class: A Strong Start to Primary School!

At İpekböceği Kindergarten and Nursery, we offer a special educational program that supports children’s preparation for primary school while balancing their academic and social development. The Associate Steps Class is a preparatory group for children aged 45+ months, where they learn with joy, improve academic skills, and gain independent life skills.

Our educational approach, enriched with the Discovery Curriculum, enables children to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, self-expression, motor skills, and adaptation to academic processes specific to primary school.

In our classroom, education is provided under the guidance of two expert teachers.

What Do Our Children Do in the Associate Steps Class?

✔ We support independent life skills. We help children acquire self-care skills such as dressing independently, eating, personal hygiene, and organization.

✔ We enhance physical development and movement abilities. Balance, coordination, and muscle-strengthening activities improve children’s motor capacity.

✔ We learn and interpret basic and advanced concepts. Mathematical operations, objects, opposites/synonyms, emotions, problem-solving, and abstract thinking are developed.

✔ We show age-appropriate growth in cognitive processes. Activities enhance logical thinking, attention span, and focus.

✔ We help children apply knowledge in daily life. Acquired information is guided into practical use.

✔ We support healthy identity and personality development. Children are encouraged to gain self-confidence, recognize their individuality, and become unique individuals.

✔ We strengthen receptive and expressive language. Activities improve vocabulary, storytelling, and clear expression.

✔ We guide children to use problem-solving skills in all situations. Critical thinking and alternative solutions are developed for real-life problems.

✔ We enhance social adaptation skills. Group activities support teamwork, communication, and peer interaction.

✔ With “See-Say-Recall” (Phonological Awareness) training, we develop sound awareness. Weekly 40-minute sessions teach phonics and correct pencil grip.

✔ With the collaboration of English Kids Academy, we offer fun and interactive English education.

✔ With “Learning Time” and “Playing Time,” we conduct sensory and interactive English activities.

✔ By integrating English into different moments of the daily schedule, children naturally acquire a second language.

08:00 – 12:00 – Active Theme Education & Activities

We provide various learning experiences with themes that enhance inquiry and discovery.

12:00 – 13:30 – Lunch and Rest

Nutritious, balanced meals support children’s eating habits.

14:00 – 18:00 – Ongoing Activities

Art, sports, music, and academic support activities make learning enjoyable.

!!! There is no nap time in this group. However, calm activities and breaks meet children’s rest needs.
