İpekböceği Kindergarten and Nursery offers a carefully designed environment where children take their first steps into school with trust, love, and discovery. The First Steps Class is the youngest group of our kindergarten and is a special learning space where children aged 24+ months gain their first educational experiences.
In this class, children’s self-care skills, secure attachment processes, and basic sensory needs are supported, while education and play-based activities contribute to their healthy development. Our curriculum, enriched with the Discovery Program, supports children’s emotional, cognitive, social, and physical development through a holistic approach.
Our classroom is designed according to the educational models we apply and provides education with two expert teachers.
✔ We start the day energetically and joyfully! With morning physical activities, our children begin the day lively.
✔ We start discovering in free play environments! In structured play areas, children develop their social skills and experience free play.
✔ We reinforce learning with theme-based movement games! According to monthly and weekly topics, we carry out activities full of movement, play, and discovery.
✔ We learn in touch with nature! By going outside the classroom, we play exploratory natural games in our garden and learn through observing nature.
✔ We do sports activities that support motor and physical development! Muscle development, balance, and coordination skills improve with fun games.
✔ We support language development with activities! Through storytelling, imitation, role-play, and games based on single and multiple instructions, children strengthen receptive and expressive language skills.
✔ We learn together with social adaptation games! Individual and group play, pretend play, and activities requiring social interaction support children’s social-emotional development.
✔ We learn basic concepts through play! Colors, numbers, shapes, objects, and emotions are explored through play-based learning methods.
✔ We develop self-care skills! Using spoon and fork, wiping the mouth, washing hands, toilet training, and drinking water from a glass help children gain independence.
✔ The First Steps Class provides an environment that supports children’s sense of secure attachment during the adaptation to school.
✔ We meet both the physical and emotional needs of children who stay away from parents for long periods.
✔ During the adaptation period, we consider individual differences and minimize separation anxiety.
✔ In an atmosphere of love, care, and trust, we ensure that children experience school not as “separation trauma,” but as a “safe discovery journey.”
✔ Our teachers approach children with individual attention and affection, considering their emotional needs.
✔ While taking their first step into school, we carefully plan every detail to make children feel happy, peaceful, and safe.
